the past is falling off me like a layer of wax i'm ditching all the masks and all the party hats my friends are moving quickly to the outbound tracks i hear the whistle's wail and i'm fine with that there's no more monkeys in the trees there's a fire burning somewhere i can see the smoke there's something in the air that smells like skin and bones in every single town i've ever called my home i hear the whistles wail like a saxophone there's no more monkeys in the trees everything is blanketed in layers of ash my memories have faded to the maximum black my soul is like a hobo on the railroad tracks i hear the whistle's wail and i'm fine with that

think of the ocean think now of a wave here for just this moment then falling away now one with the ocean yet no longer a wave but to crest and fall again forever forever no birth no death no tomorrow no yesterday nothingness and everything forever always think of a finger pointing towards the moon do not mistake the finger for the moon alright think now of the ocean being no one nothing to realize nothing to attain only to be forever forever

afraid to walk the long road back she hitched a ride to the fastest track she knew and away she flew now she's miles away on a train called mcvey the world seems a long way down as you speed through every town you knew too fast too soon you gotta find your way off a train called mcvey love walks in and love sits down and screws your little head around 'till something wrong looks pretty good to you you wear an angry veil on a train called mcvey love is blind as the buffalo eager hips sway to-and-fro but you you're black and blue you best get out of the way of a train called mcvey

The New Time 05:19
my house is not locked my arms are not crossed and hostile my phone is not blocked i haven't seen you since the last time i was drunk i don't know who you are we are not haunted we are not cursed we haven't from our old ghost in a long long while we are of the earth we're on the new time and to think that i once thought you was a friend of mine i haven't lost the will to talk but there are rules and some lines that can't be crossed i've stopped looking at the clock i haven't seen you since the day that i woke up i don't know who you are we are not bitter we are far from sad we can see that all things change for the better, man we still do laugh we are not alone we have seen the future and it's gonna be a wild ride we are of the earth we're on the new time and to think that i once thought you was a friend of mine i don't know who you are we are not sinners we have not been saved and we see no evidence pointing to the need to be saved we are of the church of the new time this is day one and tomorrow will be day one now i can see through walls but i don't travel time and to think that i once thought you was a friend of mine

as stars be my witness and god my only judge there was only you and all there'll ever be is you so i set the house on fire the difference between missing you and holding you close is in that one you're hear and one you'll disappear so i set the house on fire as the windows begin to break and the wind my old friend he feeds and fans the flames the flickering of light slowly fades everything's alright it's only change everything's alright

if i hadn't of lost my head i wouldn't have lost my hat if i hadn't have lost my hat i'd know where my head is at i got my glasses on and oh say can you see by the dawns early light it's all so clear to me so now i've lost my head so now i've lost my hat so now it doesn't matter where my head is at they say you're never more than 3 feet away from a spider i wonder how the spiders feel about that huh it's always darkest before the dawn or so they say so please forgive me i'm lost now please forget me i'm gone

this very hour this very moment here in time should not be squandered or ignored or set aside we have the power we have this moment to decide to be awakened to the beauty of our lives as everything is upside down inside out and screwed around we must be watchful for the real things be here and now the lazy eye won't see the flower this very moment be aware of the flower so let your flashing lights go dark let all your engines go full-stop we must be mindful of the real things 'cause all your plans and all your dreams and all the lies and memories will only keep you from the real thing right here and now forget the future and the past this very moment is all that we have this very hour this very moment of out lives we can close our eyes and let the sun burn out tonight

somebody needs to wake the president they better reconvene the parliament someone should call the evil empire the world is spinning like a tire on fire strain on a beaded string cold pressure draws necklace pearls down to clattering frosted gravel round glaciers mingle with jagged salt gray white pavement reflected a cold pressure strain on brittle necklace pearls somebody call the paparazzi the whirling dervish has fallen (note to v.d.m. and mr. verheaghe : just turn the lights off when you leave) like a button factory dumpster the street is flawed and rich minerals and frozen water greet knees and shoulders footfalls grind the deceptive jeweled surface to a low lying mist of huffed breath pickling salt and mother of pearl circling in cold coils some melting some freezing more solid than cane tips and chained steel rings heavy with dark clothing and muttered curses ground into ground into ground someone call an ambulance the whirling dervish has fallen down
